Prepare your ingredients.Make sure to bring the Camembert and spreadable cheese to room temperature before starting.
Start by removing the rind and cutting the Camembert or Brie cheese into thin slices.
Add the Camembert pieces into a bowl.Add the spreadable cheese wedges and butter into it. Use a fork to mix.
Add the paprika, caraway, salt and pepper and mix again. For a smoother spread, use a blender to mix the ingredients well. If your you find that your Camembert is not ripe enough and the spread is too thick, you can either add wheat beer, non-alcoholic beer or milk.
For the best taste, cover and refrigerate for few hours before serving.
Just before serving, fold the diced onion and chopped chives into the spread, and mix until well incorporated.
For a festive appearance, scoop Obatzda on a wooden board and serve with sliced onions, radishes, Crackers and pretzels.
