Mashed potatoes
- 3 Large potatoes
- 1 cup Skimmed milk warm
- 1 tbsp Butter
Ground Beef mixture
- 750 g Lean ground beef
- 1 Onion chopped
- 2 Garlic cloves minced
- 400 g Frozen Peas & carrots thawed
- Salt
- Pepper
- 7 Spices mix
Ground beef mixture sauce
- 1½ cup Water
- 1 tbsp wholemeal flour
- 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- Salt
- Pepper
- Nutmeg
Preparing the ground Beef
Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic in a greased saucepan, stirring occasionally till tender.
Add the minced beef, salt, pepper and 7 spices to the pan. Stir the meat occasionally for 10 minutes, making sure all sides are browned.
After the ground beef is cooked, add the peas and carrots. Stir for 5 minutes.
Preparing the mashed potatoes
Using a potato ricer, press the cooked potato through the ricer.
Add the milk & butter to the mashed potatoes. Whisk until creamy.
