Preheat oven to 200C.Prepare your ingredients. In a small saucepan, add coconut milk, coconut oil and 1tbsp honey. Heat over medium heat until warm.
Meanwhile, in a bowl mix semolina flour, coconut flour, baking powder, salt.
Brush an oven dish with coconut oil.
Add Vanilla extract to the warm milk mixture. Then add the mixture onto the dry ingredients, mixing well.
Transfer the mixture to the oven dish.Spread the basbousa mixture evenly. Decorate with almonds.Bake in preheated oven until golden (around 30minutes) Meanwhile prepare the syrup by adding 1/2 cup of hot water onto 1/2 cup of honey, and add vanilla. Stir well until well combined.
Pour the warm syrup evenly onto the basbousa while it is still hot.
Cover for at least an hour.
